Duplicate track would be cool, I often duplicate my bass track and filter one of for sub and the other for mid range bass. Would be nice to just duplicate instead of adding new track, selecting patch again and then copying midi parts

Hi Stiksi This is what I been looking for. Thanks :)
-
Thanks Dendy :)
-
Same for me.
-
Yeah but I like the filter on Obsidian :) I’ll work round it for time being :)
-
Yeah that’s what I mean 😛 I make ( well try to make ) neurofunk so I have loads of bass samples that are 1 min long and this would make it so easy to map samples :) At the moment I’m filling up my iPad with snippets and edits of the original sample. Im not sure what I have used where as well 😬
-
Hi Dendy I know you can do this on a single sample but What if it’s multisample :) Say you have the same sample but mapped separately 5 times on 5 keys that you want to start in different places. The sample start is global, it wouldn't work as it would adjust all starts? It would be nice if each multisample could have its…

Anickt I agree with you on the deleting a editing stuff.. so many times I have changed a sustain loop or chop a sample and for get to save as a new name! Then other preset sounds weird lol
-
The problem with this is you have to be accurate in your swiping which is hard on a busy track. The loop brace is the blue looping part in the picture
-
Hi Dendy It’s really handy for laying out a whole track quick, just highlight 4/8/16 bars with loop brace, hit duplicate and move to next section. Its even more handy if the bars you want to copy are in the middle of a section. Maybe in a future update :)

It’s ok I found it 🤣😂
-
Thanks King as well 😎
-
Thanks Dendy for confirming - going to be so useful as a sketch pad. Thanks Matt 😎
-
Is it a separate purchase to use in on iPhone? App Store is saying £23.99 even though I have it on iPad Cheers
-
I agree, if you doing lots of sound design I find it a bit weird jumping from the patch your working on to the mixer channel to add 3rd party effects.
-
Hi Dendy Thanks, that’s what I was looking for. I kind off almost got to the same point on a plane flight the the other day. I just sat and play played with Nanostudio without making any music and actually learned a lot I always use filters to freq split in ableton for the steeper slopes. I do make a lot of twisty basses…
-
Hi Dendy, I never thought of trying that. It’s just what I wanted thanks. I’m not fussed it’s on the perform page :)
-
@Stiksi @Cray23 loving the DnB vibes. I have a neurofunk one cooking.. just need some time to finish it.
-
Hi Will That’s a good idea, I will try this method :) Just need to shorten my 3 min samples down now ;)
-
So in BM3, ableton, and my emu sampler I can set loops in real time. I can put my finger on the keys (while beat is playing) and also move the loop points until I have a section that I like, that loops in time with the beat. I quickly put a video together of what I mean:…
-
Hi Dendy / Steve I want to set a sustain loop in real time so as to get the, lead up to the sustain loop and the sustain loop in time with the beat, like in a standard sampler. From what I can See the loop I got can only be done offline? Thanks
-
Dam I been looking for this :) cheers dendy

I don’t think you could ever try and compare it to PC based DAWs. My Daw struggles most of the time on a high i7 machine with 16gbs of Ram. What NS2 allows me to do ( and well) is sequence all those lovely samples created on said DAW with mountains off effects and resampling. I love the fact I can sit in a hotel room…

I’ve been bouncing everything out as a mix down and bringing it back into Obsidian it certainly giving me loads more processing power back, It’s a bit of a chore if your in the zone! I was initially bringing samples back into slate but realised you can’t add external effects to each pad.
-
@alexbuga thanks, I’ll keep and eye out for when it auv3
-
Reslice is perfect, thanks
-
I had an instance where audio has crashed out and after reloading, some of the External synths have gone back to default patch, even though the project has been saved with them in.
-
@StevePAL, nice work, thanks
-
No crashes from me and I was on it for 6 hours last night.
