Oh Interesting. I don’t know how I didn’t notice this before, but the handles for moving a part vs moving a selection in the sample editor don’t match up. The handle for moving a part (or midi notes) is a left pointing arrow. But for moving a sample selection the handle has two arrows—left and right. Which makes much more…

@qbassa, Can confirm this works pretty well with Audiobus. Works for StepPolyArp Unit too, which is totally broken in NanoStudio.

@qbassa, You can send the midi from one track to another. So if you have midi on one track playing a sound and you add a send to another track with a different sound, that track will play the same notes even though there’s nothing on it. @dendy, If I understand what you’re suggesting, yeah, I’d prefer option 1 too. It would behave exactly like adjusting the end of a part except from the start. If you try resizing a midi region in iOS GarageBand, it would work just like that, except using a third handle.

@dendy I’ve played with automating Obsidian’s sample start but would love to hear more details about your trick triggering Obsidain with Slate to do slicing. Sounds really slick, but I don’t quite follow how this works. Are you sending midi from Slate to Obsidian and then modulating Sample Start (Source) by Note (Dest)?…
