Yes, this is quite a sweet combo indeed!

Dayum! OK, I’m impressed, these sound great! As for the vocals maybe just drop in some stutter code and comb filter stuff? ;)
-
I could imagine an audio tracks implementation that would perfectly satisfy me and I would pay quite a lot but the details of the feature I would want are probably unreasonable. :)
-
(I heard folks mention that Bm3 / AUs was barfing on the iOS 15 beta as well)
-
The few paying for the many sounds perfectly fine to me. I would not mind one bit if something I helped pay for became a free update for someone else. In fact, call me crazy, but I would be proud to know I helped fund something like audio tracks in NS2. Yah it is tough though. Whatever method one uses someone will always…

Awww, thanks everybody! :)

Thanks LeeB! :)

My iPad is pretty much in mouth balls now as far as music making goes until NS2 gets audio tracks. At which point I look forward to continuing most of the tracks I started. After nine years of playing around with iOS, NS2 is the only one where I was able to make tracks that I really fell in love with.

You can send midi to some AU fx. With looperator you can switch between presets on the ‘remote list’. With effectrix you can switch patterns. With turnado you can adjust mix levels on the 8 dials and with atom fx you can do this... https://youtu.be/tWYFsPxmAVU So while not full on AU fx automation is does help a bit.

I really love the tracks that I started sketching with NS2. It is hands down one of the smoothest and chill ways to get a track going that I have found on anything ever. Doing mixdowns has been frustrating though (due to AU mixdown bugs) and I have left NS2 until it gets audio tracks, hopefully with freezing / internal…

Wow, 100% nailed it. I love it!

Are we there yet?

X2 and /2 length or full on midi timestretch would be lovely as well.

Back in my day we used to record music with bird beaks on stone tablets and I didn't hear anyone complaining.
-
The other day I listened back to my NS2 tracks, having just reached ‘a certain point’ with my latest BM3 tracks and it really struck me just how flowy and complete and with total ease the NS2 tracks sound. The overall vibe is more chill and sweet in NS2 for me and more experimental and weird in BM3, both I like but they…

That is an interesting scenario. I don't think I would have bought NS2 without AUs unless there were stunningly amazing demonstrations of smooth non destructive audio track/audio clip editing. Still excited at the possibility but not hinging my happiness on it. I am old enough to know this will never be my livelihood /…

No the full version of Factory does not show the patches in the NS2 patch browser either. I never actually use the patch browser as there are a couple AU synths who's parameters do not save properly if you use the patch browser, but I forget which, so just avoid it now.
-
Love it! Lets go fuck someone up!

Cool cool, I haven't been keeping up with things but think this may be a Synthjacker weekend. It looks like stereo recording from audio device has been worked out! I recall there was an issue with gaps at the beginning of samples...(?) I take it that has been resolved / there is a solution?

Yah, it is probably an under the hood thingy that requires a whole new set of buffering/memory management overhead streamy blah blah blah and is a lot of work. For now I find the built in limiter in NS2 and BM3 to be OK when I need to just cut notches out of bass etc. Sure, would be nice to wire up ProQ3 etc for l337…

Even if audio tracks just means track freezing happens at the same time, that would be a huge win. Given that it is to be an IAP though... oh boy... the imagination races... -(clip faders? (with curve control?) (clip waveform visual adapts to faders?) -(individual clip pan/EQ/sends?) -(reverse?) -(pitch shift?…

It really does come down to the implementation and I don’t want to get my hopes up too much. Now I even want to forget the passing comments that I heard about it! It is kind of a gradient of possibilities right now. I don’t even want to speculate on what the minimum feature set might be but given how awesome the rest of…

I want an NS2 iPhone!

My NS2 Journey, by Audiogus, Age 44... well, more of a short trip to the corner store but an outing nonetheless. Brace yourself dear reader, etc awaits! I was happy as a (crashy) clam using BM3 for about a year or so (the longest I had committed to just one host app on iOS, as I was a major floater before that) when I…

It really is stunning. I have been going over old tracks and swapping out the reverbs for Pro R and I keep getting smacked upside thinking ‘Aha! thats what I wanted it to feel like.’ Also it gives you so much variety of sweet spots and expressive potential that I can’t just dial in one setting and feel satisfied. Yah, I’m…

I really can't believe how good these plugins are... I have been loading up old BM3 projects and replacing all the reverbs, compressors etc with FABs and am over the moon happy with how these past couple years of track sketching and squirreling away were not in vain. There was no way I was going to be able to export these…

The sidechain one? edit: oh I see, yah the classic iOS problem... heh, tis true. It could all go the way of Alchemy and get screwed by Apple who has little idea of fostering communities of users it seems and just wants to design culture to make mad monies or some such conspiracy / group thinky which is no doubt true. The…

I got L2, Q3 and R. I did the Q2->Q3 upgrade initially and then bought L2 and R. I have 70$ Cad left to complete it. I think the bundle is a good deal from what my fuzzy math impulse buy infused brain can tell. I tried these demo plugs on desktop a while ago and was so blown away that I just thought I would Liam Neeson it…
