I have NS2 running on my 1-week old 5th gen iPad Pro 12.9, just doing internal stuff with slate/obsidian. I have not restored even 1/10th of my audio apps yet. Have not tried sync/slave to MIDI, but will do that when I get back home - on holiday right now, and will let you know. I’ve moved to Bitwig and I had been…

After 3 years, I’ve flipped 180 degrees on the need for audio tracks, mostly due to moving back to the MacBook for Bitwig, and using my iPads as MIDI synths for generating audio clips or as controllers (Musix, GeoShred, MIDIPads). I’d rather have tight MIDI clock sync/start/stop (without needing AB3) and proper handling of…

No delays here, iPad Pro 12.9, 1st gen, with NS2.

Thanks. Interesting - I just updated to iOS13 (the iPad made me do it). About 10 days ago, prior to the upgrade, I was on a long cross-country flight and pulled out NS2 and GeoShred to see if things had changed from a year ago. I that case, the GeoShred GUI was shrunken by 200% into a tiny rectangle that was un-usable. I…

Been away from NS2 for too long. Is this still in development? https://www.blipinteractive.co.uk/community/index.php?p=/discussion/247/midi-clock-sync-generate#latest

Circling back on this. It seems to have gotten worse. Currently, the AUv3 GUI is chopped off: When trying to access the GUI w/o NS2 keys, I get the spinning wheel forever: It should all look like this: I’ve been away from NS2 for a while, bogged down in other works stuff, so apologies if this has already been answered - I…

I’ve been waiting on this issue to be resolved too. Thanks for the notice!
-
Great request - that would be nice.

I have the iPad Pro 12.9 with ios 12.1.3 - I purchased it in Jan 2018

No crackling with iVCS3, or any AU for me. I have not tried any mix downs with pitched VCS3 patches tho. All my VCS3 stuff is ambient sfx, and the majority of factory patches do not track the keyboard in any meaningful way.

Got it - thanks!

Hey @dendy what is the minimum distance between samples? Octaves and minor thirds are common but for the last year I’ve been experimenting with one-wavetable-per-note (or one sample per note, in this case) to get zero aliasing and full spectrums across all notes. I remember something about a “zone limit” and can’t remember…

Agree!

For me, Autony is still a bit glitchy in both iMPC Pro2 and BM3, definitely not perfect. For NS2 it is super-duper glitchy and difficult to use, I have to flick the knobs in short bursts to get them to move close to where I want it. And, iMPC Pro2 also places Autony in the synth list and also exposes a keyboard nearly…

Done. No brainer. Thanks, Tom I love deals like this.

I would like to see that video!

Agree! I’m starting to replace some of my old favorites with it as well.

That is a very cool idea - great tip/trick!

At least they get pie!

With the AUv3 flakiness going on, you must break up with a lot of plugins these days... Hopefully, you take them out to a nice dinner first... ;)

It’s not MPE, but It is a bunch of MIDI CC that spews from the interface (MIDIWrench shows 4 different CCs in addition to pitch bend on the simple patch I tested). Playing the NS2 keys produces a much different (dead-ish) timbre compared to the GS guitar-string UI. The bending and vibrato from that interface is fabulous…

Ok, thanks. If it’s working in other daws, then I guess it’s a bug (?)

Yes - removing all Aparillo tracks (3 of them) fixed the problem! I don’t have DRC. Dang! I really like Aparillo too...

I’ve tried opening and closing NS2 and different sequences of operations. One thing I noticed is that once this happens, I can go back and reopen the other projects and they always play properly. Only the one Talkies-2 is always silent after the first time. I must then close NS2 and reopen it to get Talkies-2 to play…
-
I was hoping this happened to someone else, before going in and deleting one track at a time...
-
Talkies-2 is the one that has this problem. Doesn’t matter what order things happen (load, load another, reload) and yes, the master meter is always running, as are all the little meters too.

Time to lock @dendy in a room with Trick of the Tail and Animals, and he can’t come out until that bottle of Absinthe is empty :o PS: I used to play Dance on a Volcano in a “power trio” on a CZ-1000; no lie - you really have to work those 4 notes of polyphony but what a great lesson it it was
-
@dendy this would be a good one for T&T

My post said “there are many of us who need this as an AUv3 MIDI FX app instead (of a Synth app)”
