Didn’t realize this conversation was going on. I would easily join a subscription for NS2 and highly recommend it to everyone I know. As it stands NS2 is the best workstation app, begging to be the best DAW on iOS. Whatever you’d need to do to make it financially viable, I’d be around to support.

this is great! I wish there was a similar product for converting EXS24 or collections of wavs into obsidian presets... what would it take to make something like that?

Thanks a lot for the great update! I didn't consider how beneficial it will be to have NS2 on my phone. I look forward to audio tracks, or maybe something that could allow it to work with the new app from 4pockets, but for now, this is THE iOS DAW to have, and your hard work is so appreciated.

I’ll have to see how realistically the work-around would work for me. It feels like a bit of work to get full verses and choruses recorded. Thanks again though!

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have to give it a try. It’s unfortunate because I’ve written full songs for commercial release with Nanostudio while on the road, and the lack of audio tracks is Just the only thing that makes it less than a complete studio solution. There are no doubts ways to work around with 4pockets app, but I…

Unfortunately not it seems. Best i can tell there’s no way to use this with a mic yet. At best you can use it to record synths and other inputs within nanostudio. Maybe good for making Multis or “freezing” tracks.

I'm very happy NS2 has AUv3 support because I can't stand IAA and the FX work great. Honestly, though, obsidian has been so sufficient, I rarely draw on AUv3 synths at all. I would love for Audio Tracks and Time stretching to be a thing with NS2 because then it would be a total solution unlike any other on iOS....that…

I’ve always known that Nanostudio 2 was the best workflow for me on iOS, but I’d had this crazy bout of writers block that kept me from writing anything to completion. The stock sounds and IAP are great, but I felt like all my desktop based virtual instruments were going to waste. Thus began the long journey of doing…

Thank you for the help. In all honesty, other than AU FX this really just reminds me of why it’s been better to focus on importing a number of my libraries from my computer into obsidian. Audiolayer’s exs Import is a great idea, but it takes so much longer than just batch loading samples into obsidian and recreating the…

Interesting info keeps coming in. So I attempted to create a new session in Auria Pro since it allows you to select sample rate. It appears, that off the three options, (44.1kHZ, 48kHz, and 96kHz) 44.1 is the only one that the system says I cannot select because some application in the background is in running at a…

Seems this does not fix it on the ipad. Since there is no headphone jack anymore on the new iPads and iPhones the only options are through lightning or usb-c connectors, or the wireless alternative of Bluetooth. For the iPad Pro, I tried Bluetooth connection, as well as a wired connection via a USB-C hub adaptor, but the…

indeed that may be the issue. It seems like new iPad pros are default to 48k, and cannot be switched to other sample rates. Audiolayer and other apps worked fine in cubasis, but I found that I cannot actually change the sample rate in cubasis to anything other than 48k. I imagine this means that from app to app, if there…

never exceeds more than about 13% CPU. Tried all 4 buffer settings to no change. https://www.dropbox.com/s/j1dcpkbmrq1lapo/Video%202019-01-25%208%2054%2057.mov?dl=0

Also with ElliottGarage's WaveSHAPER, BeepStreets's Sunrise (but not a problem with the same developer's Zeeon app)

Thanks. I am on 12.1.3 I actually just cycled through other AUs, and looks like i have the same issue with most of Virsyn's auv3 plugins. MicroTERA, Audiolayer and reslice all have this distortion when trying to play within nanostudio. I thought perhaps they were just peaking, but even after trying to adjust the volume on…

thank you for the reply, I put up a video of the experience. running as an AU in nanostudio using the stock presets from audiolayer https://www.dropbox.com/s/4rnsd73he9higk9/Video%202019-01-25%207%2025%2055.mov?dl=0 running the same marimba patch in the audiolayer standalone…

I think what would really set this app apart from the others is keyboard input and shortcuts. The only DAW app that utilizes keyboard shortcuts to my knowledge is GarageBand. Being able to copy and paste, or have various functions also controlled by keyboard would help speed up the workflow. Other than that, the obvious…
