So I got KB-1 on sale

Works nicely with NS2. Using it standalone feeding into NS2 you get 16 velocity sensitive pads for Slate with note repeat plus various forms of keyboards for Obsidian including Chord keys, Seaboard style, classic keyboard etc. Check it out while it’s on sale!

Xequence Keys and Xequence Pads are nice too. I think I like ‘em better, especially Pads. Not sure how they compare in price though.
Oh but they’re not standalone so you have to jump through some hoops with AudioBus, AUM, or Ape Matrix to Record the output.
Doesn’t look like it’s on sale here, what’s the normal price?
The standalone is what I like vs Xequence. I do have Xequence Pads and those are nice. Either one once they can be used as AU in NS2. Regularly $9.99 on sale for $4.99. Not sure when/if sale end.
Ah, it’s a ”silent” sale 😀 thanks @anickt
Very cool looking...just purchased. Do u know if this will make NS2 able to receive MPE?
IDK - just been using keyboard, chords and drum pads so far.
Ok I just tried it out as a midi AU in NS2. Even though we can’t yet record it, It seems to simulate MPE like a roli seaboard would. It isn’t as ‘dramatic’ to the glides and slides as a seaboard but maybe the settings can make it more so. I tested it with both MPE and non MPE Auv3’s. I will say this, once NS2 can record midi fx live to the timeline this is going to really be amazing! So many options, this thing is really useful, great find!
You can record it if you use it standalone. I'm not near my ipad so I can't show you how.
here is description how to record from standalone KB-1 into NS:

Thanks! Got stuck trying to find the KB1- #1 MIDI output in KB1 but it was under the virtual output. Got it working now 😀
… but now I realized I can control Obsidian directly with Soundprism 🤯 this just made Gadget almost unnecessary for me! Except for dance beats, they have pretty good kits for that.
