difference is in control rate - "slow" is mentioned for long sweeps, where ypu don't need to update modulation value so often, other one works better for fast sweeps and fast lfo modulations
there is no noticeable difference during long sweeps but "slow" mode is more cpu friendly, so it's basically another little efficiency tweak.. on other side there is noticeable difference during fast lfo modulation (non-slow is better)
to be honest, in most cases i use normal, not slow. No idea how much it saves cpu, never did any testing of this, probably it is not that big difference until you don use a lot of instances and lot of cutoff automations...
